Dell PowerEdge 6350 Systems Installation and Troubleshooting Guide
The redundant power supplies in Dell PowerEdge 6350 systems are controlled by the
power-supply paralleling board. The two indicators on the top of the power supply
(see Figure 7-5) signal the status of each power supply. Both indicators light briefly
during initial system start-up to show that the indicators are functioning. The green
status indicator stays on to show that the power supply is operating normally. The red
fault indicator turns off after initial system start-up is complete. If the indicator lights
any time after system start-up, a fault is indicated in the power supply and the power
supply should be replaced.

Follow these steps to replace a power supply:
1.
Remove the power supply (see Figure 7-6):
a.
Disengage the power supply handle from the latched position by pressing
down on the handle and releasing it.
b.
Rotate the handle outward and then pull up on the handle to slide the power
supply out of the chassis.
