4.1.1 Head Data Writing Operation

Data unique to the specific black and color printhead used in the printer is stored in the EEPROM on the
C184 MAIN board. These values must be written to the EEPROM first when the printhead unit, the printer
mechanism, main board, or EEPROM chip is replaced. However, it is not necessary to write them to
EEPROM again, even if the EEPROM is reset from the control panel.
Before running this program, be sure the interface setting is set to parallel or auto select.
1.
Connect the PC to the target printer using a parallel interface cable, and turn the printer on.

Load BASIC on the PC, and run the adjustments program. You see the following destination select
menu:

2. EDG, EUL, EFS, EIS, EIB, EUL (Northern Europe), EUL (Middle East), EHK

Select Menu ?

Input the number for the destination. Then the main menu appears, as shown in the menu that follows.
If you enter an incorrect number as the destination selection, printer functions are not
guaranteed.

Select "1, Head VH input" typing 1 and pressing Enter to perform the head data writing operation.
Then the menu for setting the black head data appears, as shown below:
