TEST EACH VOICE TERMINAL FOR A DIAL TONE

Lift the handset.
The green light goes on next to the shining red light and you hear a dial
tone.

Press one or more dial pad buttons.
The dial tone stops.
If your system does not respond as described, make a note of it, and refer to
the Troubleshooting Table, page 33, after you've completed the installation.

LABEL THE VOICE TERMINALS WITH INTERCOM NUMBERS

Fill in an intercom number label for each voice terminal.

Pry the plastic number card retainer away from its slot below the hand-
set with a straightened paper clip or similar tool.

Lay the intercom number label in the slot, and replace the plastic
retainer.

Verify the voice terminal's intercom number:
Touch the fifth button down in the leftmost row of buttons
(Intercom-Ring).
Lift the handset.
Dial the voice terminal's intercom number.
A busy signal verifies the intercom number.
