On the control panel there is a control knob to switch the fryer on and
off, the temperature regulation is between 0 to 190deg C.
There are 2 indicator lights on the control panel; the red light indicates
the fryer is on, the yellow light indicates the temperature of the cooking
oil, when the temperature selected is reached, the yellow light switches
off. When the temperature drops during the frying, the heater starts again
and the yellow light switches on till the pre-selected temperature is reached.
There is also a 60 minute timer, by turning the knob clockwise the time
can be selected.
When the selected time is reached an audible signal will sound, the timer
does not control the fryer element.

FIRST USE OF THE FRYER
To obtain the best results, the new appliance should be cleaned properly
to eliminate any production residues. To clean the basket, put it in hot
water with soap, then fill the tank of the fryer with water, add soap and
then heat it for 10 minutes at 140 C.
Remove the water, wash the tank with hot water and then dry the fryer.
SUGGESTIONS FOR THE USE
Put 3 litres of oil in the fryer. The maximum cooking temperature is 190
C; exceeding this temperature will change the oils consistency and could
affect the taste of the food
Never use the fryer without oil or fat in it or lower levels than are
recommended.

GENERAL WARNINGS

During operation the surface of the fryer will get hot,. Keep the children
away from the fryer during use. Hot oil or fat can catch fire easily.
Add oil or fat when the level is under the minimum. Clean the fryer regulary
and change the oil frequently; dirty oil or fat will affect the results of your
cooking.
If the fryer is used beneath a cooker hood, the hood should be install
according to the cooker manufacturers
The user is responsible for correct use of the appliance.
Damages caused by improper use are not covered by the warranty.
If other electrical appliances are used near the fryer make sure that the
cable does not touch the hot parts or the contents of the fryer.
HOW TO FRY
Select the temperature and wait for the yellow light to go out. Put the
basket briefly into the hot oil or fat, then remove and put the food in the
basket and replace in the oil to cook.
Dry the food such as fish, meat, vegetables or fruits as best as possible.
When the food is cooked, lift the basket and shake it slightly over the fryer
to remove the excess oil from the food. Hang drum on the support in the
fryer lid and let it drain.
Do not add salt or spices on the food over the fryer, as this will affect the
taste of the food on the next use of the fryer.
For large quantity of food it would be better take off the basket from the
tank after 1-2 minutes, so the oil or the fat can heat itself rapidly to reach
the selected temperature.
Two marks on the back of the fryer indicate the maximum and minimum
level of the oil. The food should always be covered by the oil.
When the food does not cook well, or the oil becomes darken, the oil
should be changed
Do not use the fryer near a naked flame as there is a risk of fire.
On completion of cooking turn the knob to the "O" position

Before cleaning the appliance switch off the electrical supply at the
control switch.
Do not clean the appliance surfaces when still hot.
The water in the food goes down in the so called "cool zone". So it is
impossible that the oil falls out.
Also the particles, that during the frying fall in the drum, go down to the
cool zone, allowing a better use of the oil or fat.
Remove the basket after the cool down period.
Clean the stainless steel parts with specific cleaners for stainless steel
surfaces. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
Clean the knob and the panel with an damp cloth. To clean the fryer heater
you can llift it up out of the pan.
Note:
The fryer is equipped with a temperature limiter,the limiter operates when
the operating temperatures are exceeded and switches the electrical supply
to the element off and also both the indicator lights.
To reset the fryer the limiter has to be reset manually.
When the temperature drops to a safe level, the red light switches on
again if the fryer is on. It is recommended to contact your local Baumatic
service should the limiter operate.

SUGGESTIONS FOR THE USE
It is possible to cook in different way thanks to the thermostatic regulation
of the radiant element and the movable grillI, it is possible to cook different
foods at the same time, such as fish and meat.
Taking off the grill and putting the meat directly on the radiant element,
you can enjoy the flavour of the barbecue.
