Save and reload markers
Soundbooth stores markers in XML files, which are separate from media files. The process you use to save and reload
markers in XML files depends upon the media file format:
• If you add markers to an existing AIF, AVI, mp3, or WAV file, choose File > Save to automatically create an XML
file in the same location. When you next open the media file, Soundbooth automatically imports the related XML
file, instantly reloading your markers.
Note: Soundbooth identifies related media and XML files by name and location. For example, if the media file is
BestBlues.wav, Soundbooth looks for BestBlues.wav_markers.xml in the same folder.
• If you add markers to existing files in other formats, or to newly recorded audio, choose File > Export > Markers
to manually create an XML file. When you next open the media file, choose File > Import > Markers to reload the
related markers.
