Confirm your host computer supports USB 2.0.

Confirm the cable connecting your AL series and host computer is the provided
DirectHD cable.

When using a USB hub, confirm it is powered on with AC power or it supports
USB 2.0. (Even when everything is done as mentioned, other devices using the
same hub may cause the communication speed to be slower.)
Why aren't the icons in My Computer window shown properly?

The peripheral devices connected to your host computer may cause it. Press F5
key. (This may not work properly due to the setting condition or the installed
operating system in your host computer.)
Why does a message Please insert a disk drive.... appear?

Your AL series may be still set the user password. Cancel the password using the
Password Utility of the DirectHD utility. (Refer to the Canceling User Password
section in Chapter 6.)

Trouble with Security Settings

Why do I have the message "Your computer might be at risk" each time I
boot my computer?

If you have the message "Automatic Updates is turned off" addition to the above
message, turn on the Automatic Updates to enable your computer periodically to
update Windows.

Why is the AL series not powered on?

When the AL series is connected to the host computer using the DirectHD
function, the AL series cannot be powered on. Disconnect the AL series from the
