Click OK to apply the task to the device.
When the HP Management Agent on the client receives the task, the client will display a warning
message indicating that the device will reboot in 15 seconds.
The client will shut down, then start up in DOS mode and run the utility which copies the contents
of the flash storage to an .img file in the FTP Repository. Note that this may take several minutes.
The progress of the image creation task will be indicated in the Tasks pane of the Console.
When the task has been completed successfully, the client will reboot as normal and the Tasks
pane will indicate the task has finished.
An image file has now been created in the FTP Repository you specified in step 4.

Pushing a PXE Image to a Client

You can push (write) a PXE image stored in an FTP Repository to any client managed by HP Device
Manager, as long as it contains enough Flash storage. This is achieved using the _PXE Imaging
template.
To push a PXE image to a device:
1.
Make sure the BIOS settings of the client device to which you want to push an image are as
described in
2.
In the Management Console, display the OS tab containing the name of the client in its Device
Tree.
