Descriptions
Press [B&W Start] to scan document. Otherwise, AUTO CLEAR function
activates and the LCD returns to standby display after 1 minute. (See
Chater 10, "Machine Settings," in the Basic Guide.)
Sets the reception functions.
The ECM (Error Correction Mode) reception is turned on or off.
All receptions are conducted with ECM if the other party's fax supports
ECM.
ECM is turned off.
If you select <FaxTel> as the receive mode, customizes its settings.
Selects the time the machine takes to check whether a call is a fax or
voice call.
0SEC to 30SEC (6SEC)
Selects the ring length for voice calls.
15SEC to 300SEC (15SEC)
Selects whether the machine switches to receive mode after the ring
time has elapsed, or whether if disconnects the call.
RECEIVE, DISCONNECT
Selects the ring pattern for fax calls.
NORMAL RING, DOUBLE RING, SHORT-SHORT-LONG,
SHORT-LONG-SHORT, OTHER RING TYPE
Sets whether the telephone rings when it receives a voice call, enabling
you to answer the call. This function is only available when the fax
receive mode is set to <FaxOnly>.
The telephone does not ring when it receives a voice call. (In energy
saver mode, the telephone may ring one or two times.)
The telephone rings when it receives a voice call if a telephone is
connected.
Sets the number of incoming rings. The telephone will be disconnected
after the specified times.
