Receiving Faxes

This chapter describes the different ways to receive faxes. It also explains how to set the

receive mode and to cancel the documents the machine is receiving.

Follow this procedure to set the receive mode:

Press [Menu].

Press [ (-)] or [ (+)] to select <FAX SETTINGS> ➞ press [Set].

Press [ (-)] or [ (+)] to select <RECEIVE MODE> ➞ press [Set].

Press [ (-)] or [ (+)] to select the receive mode ➞ press [Set].

You can select from the following:

- <FaxOnly> to automatically receive faxes only. Voice calls will be disconnected. (See

"Receiving Faxes Automatically: FaxOnly Mode," on p. 5-2.)

- <FaxTel> to automatically switch between fax and voice calls. Faxes will be received

automatically, and the machine will ring for voice calls. (See "Receiving Both Faxes

and Voice Calls Automatically: FaxTel Mode," on p. 5-3.)

- <AnsMode> to receive faxes automatically and route voice calls to an answering

machine connected to the machine. (See "Receiving When an Answering Machine Is

Connected: AnsMode," on p. 5-4.)
