Startup Procedure

To start SampleEdit, double click the [SampleEdit] icon in the YAMAHA Sound Edge group.

Toolbar

Toolbar:
Lets you execute various features just by clicking on buttons. The toolbar can be displayed
when necessary. To display or erase the toolbar, use the [View] menu.

Work area:

Lets you edit wave files in the Waveform editing window, and lets you open the Mapping
window. Also lets you display and use the MIDI soft keyboard.
Status bar:
While you are editing, the status bar displays various statuses of wave data.

New .OMP file button:

Creates a new .OMP file. To open a new Mapping window, click this button.
File Open button:
Opens a dialog box that is used to select the file to be read. You can select the .WAV,
.OPL, and .OMP file types.

Save button:

Saves, by overwriting, the currently active file. If the file has not been previously saved,
the Save As dialog box appears.

Undo button:

Undoes the immediately preceding edit operation.
Cut button:
Copies the selected area to the clipboard, and deletes the selected area from the window.
The waveform area to the right of the selected area moves to the left when the selected
area is deleted.
