Messages—Text
Your phone can receive text messages which may include text and phone numbers. Your
phone stores these messages in a text inbox.

Using Text Messages

Text messages are brief messages that you can send and receive (such as
Received messages appear on your phone display or in your text message inbox.
The number of messages the inbox can hold depends on the length of the messages, and the number of
other messages and drafts stored in your phone. Your phone can store a total of 72 messages, with a
maximum length of 128 characters per message, in all message folders (inboxes, outbox, and the drafts
folder).
Set Up the Text Message Inbox
You must set up the text message inbox before you can send and receive text messages.
When your phone receives text messages, it puts them in your text message inbox. When it is full, the
network temporarily holds your new messages.
Before you can send or receive text messages, you must configure the following settings for your text
message inbox:
