These Release Notes are intended for systems administrators and technicians
who are responsible for installing, operating, and maintaining Fabric OS version 4.4.0f.

HP strongly recommends that customers sign up online using the Subscriber's choice web site:

newest versions of drivers, and firmware documentation updates as well as instant access to

Fabric OS 4.4.0f is a patch release containing fixes to a number of defects. This patch release also
includes the same feature set as the Fabric OS 4.4.0 release.
HP upgrade recommendations
HP strongly urges customers to take the following actions:
• Upgrade Fabric OS 4.1.x or 4.2.x systems to Fabric OS 4.4.0f directly. Do not upgrade those
systems to Fabric OS 4.4.0, Fabric OS 4.4.0e or any firmware version in between.
• Upgrade existing switches running Fabric OS 4.4.0 or Fabric OS 4.4.0a to Fabric OS 4.4.0f as
soon as possible.
