Power flex 40 not powering washer motor need to reprogram

1 comments:
Mr. Anderson
February 18, 2025

To reprogram the PowerFlex 40 for an Alliance Laundry Systems washer motor that is not powering, follow these steps:

1. Reset to Factory Defaults:
- Set P041 = 1 (Reset to Defaults) to restore factory settings.
- This will reset all drive parameters, requiring reprogramming.

2. Check Parameter Lock:
- Ensure A101 = 0 (Parameters Unlocked) to allow modifications.

3. Verify Wiring and Connections:
- Check that drive-to-motor wires are damage-free, properly connected, and torqued.
- Ensure the control terminal “Enable” is correctly connected to “Common.”

4. Check Motor Overload and Torque:
- Monitor d030 (OL Level) to check for overload progression.
- Check d029 (Torque Current) to verify motor torque.

5. Inspect Control Inputs:
- Verify correct control signals are being sent.
- Refer to the applicable control input table in the manual.

6. Ensure No Mechanical Issues:
- Check for binding or motion restrictions in the washer basket.

After completing these steps, the drive should be reprogrammed, and the washer motor should function correctly.
