    Glow buttons (SRP2006WM only) The SRP2006WM glow buttons (- VOL +, - CH +, ENTER, (-) and the numeric buttons) glow in the dark, enabling easy use of the remote control, even in a dimly lit room To fully benefit from the support that Philips offers, register your product at www.philips.com/welcome. G etting started 2.1 Inserting the batteries • I nsert 2 AAA type batteries, noting the + and - configuration in the battery compartment. Note When replacing the batteries, all user settings will be retained in the remote control memory for 5 minutes.

The red Setup light turns off. • Restart from the beginning. • If the device does not respond at all or not to all of the button commands or if you cannot find the code for your brand, enter ‘9, 9, 9, 9’ in step 3 and continue with step 4.
  • Page 8 During initial setup 1 M ake sure the receiving device is able to respond. E.g. when you try to repair the Play button for your DVD player, make sure to insert a DVD into the DVD player otherwise the Play button is not able to function. P ress the button that does not function, keep it pressed and immediately release it when the device responds. Repeat this for every button that does not function. • I f the button still does not function as expected, try pressing it again for a longer period of time. After initial setup 1 M ake sure the receiving device is able to respond. E.g. when you try to repair the Play button for your DVD player, make sure to insert a DVD into the DVD player otherwise the Play button is not able to function.

    3 U sing the universal remote controls 3.1 Buttons and functions The illustrations on page 2 gives an overview of all buttons on the remote controls. Try out the buttons you need for operating your devices. Notes • B uttons having the same functions as the buttons on your original remote control may have different namings on the SRP2003WM / SRP2006WM (e.g. Info / Display). • O nly functions that are available on your original remote control can be used for operating your devices with the universal remote controls........ S etup light. Lights up when a remote control command is being sent, when you just selected a device and when the remote control is in setup mode.

    3.2 R esetting a button to its original function If an improved button (see chapter 2.2.2) still does not function as expected, you can always reset the button to its original function. I n the current 5 sec. device mode, keep digit buttons and pressed simultaneously for 5 seconds, until the red Setup light lights up. • T he remote control is now in setup mode. P ress digit buttons , and , in that order. • A fter each button press the red Setup light blinks once.

    4 Service and support 4.1 Frequently asked questions In this chapter you will find answers to the most frequently asked questions about your universal remote controls. Setup I cannot enter setup mode. Battery level too low or battery lifetime came to an end. • R eplace the batteries. See chapter 2.1. After replacing the batteries, test if the remote control still operates your devices. If it does not, you have to set up the remote control again. For this refer to chapter 2.2. The brand code for my device is missing in the ‘Shortlist of brands’ in the Quick Start Guide. The ‘Shortlist of brands’ only mentions the most common TV, DVD, CBL/SAT, DVR and VCR brands.
  • Page 13 After setup, not all buttons work al expected. • T ry improving the button(s). See chapter 2.2.2. How do I set up the remote control for combo devices (TV / VCR, TV / DVD, DVD / VCR, etc)? Some combo devices require you to set up two different device selection buttons to control both parts of the combo device. For example, if you have a TV / DVD combo, you might need to set up the remote control for both TV and DVD to operate your TV / DVD combo. Operation The remote control does not wake up anymore. Battery level too low or battery lifetime came to an end. • R eplace the batteries. See chapter 2.1. After replacing the batteries, test if the remote control still operates your devices. Estos botones permiten un uso fácil del mando a distancia, incluso en una habitación poco iluminada Para poder beneficiarse por completo del soporte que ofrece Philips, registre el producto en www.philips.com/welcome I ntroducción 2.1 Colocación de las pilas • I nserte 2 pilas del del tipo AAA, teniendo en cuenta la configuración de los polos + y – del compartimento de las pilas. Configuración No puedo acceder al modo de configuración. El nivel de las pilas es demasiado bajo o se ha agotado la vida útil de las pilas. • S ustitúyalas. Para obtener más información, consulte el capítulo 2.1. Después de sustituir las pilas, compruebe que el mando a distancia sigue controlando sus dispositivos. En caso contrario, deberá volver a configurar el mando a distancia. Para ello, consulte el capítulo 2.2.
  • Page 27 El televisor se apaga en el paso 4 pero no se vuelve a encender en el paso 5. Los televisores de algunas marcas (por ejemplo, Panasonic) únicamente se encienden tras pulsar de forma continuada uno de los botones numéricos. Después de pulsar el botón de forma continuada en el modo de configuración, el mando a distancia intentará corregir el funcionamiento del botón (consulte el capítulo 2.2.2) en vez de encender el televisor. • E n este caso,encienda el televisor manualmente o utilice el mando a distancia original para hacerlo.
