6 Color Management – User Files
Color printers support a set of user files that can be loaded to a persistent storage media in the printer and
affect the color processing depending on the setting of the color options described in section 3.4 COLOR
MENU – Options Descriptions on page 24.

6.1 Types of User Files:

User Dest. Profile
User CMYK Profile
User RGB Profile
HL Mapping Table
OCA Mapping Table
This ICC output profile is used if no instruction CMR exits or matches. The
CMR profile in the job can also be ignored with the CMOCA option
"Instruction CC" described on page 28.
If no user default output profile is in the printer, a printer specific default
profile is used.
This input profile will be used if no input (audit) CMR for CMYK is defined
in the IPDS job.
This input profile will be used if no input (audit) CMR is defined for RGB in
the IPDS job.
The Highlight Mapping Table defined by the user is used to map index values
to CMYK values.
This table can contain multiple lines. The format of each line:
index ccc mmm yyy kkk
Index values can be from 0 to 65535.
ccc,mm,yyy and kkk values can be from 0 to 255.
Separators can be spaces or ",". The values must be decimal values.
# indicates a comment line. It is recommended to add a comment line in the
start of the file with a description of this mapping file.
Example:
#Highlight table for acme marketing printers v. 1.1
1 100 0 200 30
293,0,255,0,0
33, 0 0 0 255
Note: The table must be created as a text file using e.g. MS Notepad. Do not
use an editor that may insert control codes.
Note: This table is still active even if the Color Management is set to Ignore
Color Management Settings. For values not found in this table the
default IPDS HL Grey algorithm will be used.
The OCA Mapping Table maps each or some of the 16 OCA colors to CMYK
values.
This table can contain multiple lines. The format of each line:
index ccc mmm yyy kkk
