/srv/tftpboot/boot/pxelinux.config/
This directory contains the configuration files required to PXE boot the Point of
Service terminals. The file pxelinux.cfg indicate which kernel and RAM disk
to load for the Point of Service terminal. These files enable Branch Servers to dis-
tribute SLRS 8 and SUSE Linux Enterprise Point of Service 9 images.
SUSE Linux Enterprise Point of Service automatically creates the pxelinux.cfg
files based on the distribution container configurations in the LDAP directory. For
more information, see Chapter 10, The SUSE Linux Enterprise Point of Service
LDAP Directory (page 121).
/srv/tftpboot/boot/pxelinux.config/default
This file contains the default configuration daa for Point of Service terminal's PXE
boot. This configuration file is used by all Point of Service terminals that boot the
SUSE Linux Enterprise Point of Service 9 kernel.
/srv/tftpboot/boot/pxelinux.config/IP_address_hex_value
The pxelinux file contains custom configuration data. If you have a custom
distribution container, SUSE Linux Enterprise Point of Service automatically gen-
erates custom pxelinux configuration files that distribute the kernel specified
by that distribution directory.
The filename for custom pxelinux configuration files is the IP address of the
booting client. For example, if the client IP address is 10.1.1.1, the filename of the
corresponding pxelinux configuration file is OA0101.
/srv/tftpboot/boot/pxelinux.config/image/
The image directory contains the client images that are distributed to Point of
Service terminals and their associated checksums.
/srv/tftpboot/boot/pxelinux.config/upload/
The upload directory contains the uploaded hwtype.MAC files for newly regis-
tered Point of Service terminals are uploaded. These files are used to create the
Point of Service terminal's workstation object in LDAP.
This directory also stores temporary files for Image Install Notification. When a
new image is installed on a Point of Service terminal, the bootversion.MAC
file is created in tftpboot/upload. posleases2ldap.pl transfers the in-
