R80 - installation 5.1.5 - Installation in tanks Leave a minimum distance of 300mm between the sensor and the smooth wall of the tank (d). Use a cover (c) to protect the sensor from rain and direct light. Do not install the sensor near the loading area (a). Make sure that there are no obstacles (f-e) in the emission range (lobe “ɑ”8°) of the probe that can be intercepted as a level.

R80 - installation 5.1.7 - Installation in a trunk If the R80 sensor is installed in a stub pipe, you should make sure that the emitting part protrudes at least 10 mm from the stub pipe. 5.1.8 - Installation with bracket (Code: 844A003A) By installing R80 with the bracket accessory, it is possible to orient the emission lobe in the direction that guarantees a better quality of signal reception.

R80 - installation 5.1.9 - Presence of agitators Level measurement is still possible thanks to the automatic measurement fi ltering system. It is only very rarely necessary to adjust the fi lter setting by changing the 2 programming parameters of the R80 sensor: - FILTER: increasing the value of this parameter decreases the sensitivity of the sensor to sudden changes in level, consequently increasing the response delay.
R80 - electrical connections 6-ELECTRICAL CONNECTION 6.1 - ELECTRICAL CONNECTION 1) Electrical connections must be made only by qualifi ed personnel, in compliance with the safety regulations of the system 2) Make sure that the power source is compatible with the data on the instrument plate (see page 6) and that the power supply can be sectioned via an external device to the easily accessible source.

R80 - app green tools 8.7 - Graph This function is useful for: - Correctly positioning the direction of the transducer. - Checking that the acquired echo signal is correct. - Identifying any echo causing a disturbance that could generate incorrect measurements. The vertical green marker indicates on the graph the echo signal considered valid for the measurement.
Warning: always check the integrity of the packaging received; if the packaging is not intact, the instrument must be carefully checked before putting it into service. In case of doubt about the correct functioning of the instrument, contact SGM Lektra immediately for any return.
