If it is necessary to adjust the drive pinion and ring gear. the following procedures are recommended for
efficiency.

Objective of adjustments must be to reach the position of quietest running. as had been determined on
special testing machines during production.
Absolute cleanliness is required during all assembly and testing procedures to attain good results.
Repairs on the final, drive will only require readjustment of drive pinion and ring gear. when parts have
been replaced which directly influence the adjustment. Refer to the following table to avoid unnecessary
adjustments!
