3.1

Installation Overview

The following steps provide an overview of the operations to install and configure the Intel
Controller SRCS28X for RAID operations.
1. Install the Hardware. Refer to
Section 3.4, "Detailed Installation Instructions" on page 16
instructions.
2. Configure the system BIOS. Refer to the system documentation for more information.
3. Run the setup utility to configure the Serial ATA drives into a RAID array. Refer to the Intel
Software Guide for RAID Products for more information.
4. Install the operating system driver. Refer to the Intel Software Guide for RAID Products for
more information.
5. Install and run the Intel
