Hardware Installation
2. Power down the system and unplug the power cord.
3. Remove the cover from the computer.

The following steps provide detailed installation instructions.
1. Unpack the Intel

2. (Optional, required to enable Write Back Cache) Attach the Battery Backup Unit (BBU) to the
adapter.
a. Remove the Battery Backup Unit from its packaging.
b. Connect the wire from the battery to the Circuit Board.
c. Position the BBU over the RAID adapter so the connectors line up. Press the BBU on the
adapter.
d. Turn the Adapter over.
e. Using the three screws, secure the BBU to the RAID Adapter.
