Buttonholes - Applications
Straight stitched buttonholes
are particularly useful for
reinforcing buttonholes on all
soft and loosely woven fabrics
such as wool, or for
buttonholes which are subject
to extreme wear. They are also
useful for reinforcing
buttonhole openings in leather,
vinyl or felt.
Buttons with 2 and 4 holes can
be attached. The shank (thread
length between button and
fabric) can be made shorter or
longer (foot No. 18) as desired.
Buttons sewn on for decorative
purposes only are stitched
without a thread shank.
