Using the self-timer

Apply "self-timer" custom function to
switch 31 (see "Custom functions") and
switch the self-timer on or off with switch
31. Start the self-timer by pressing the
shutter release. The timer delay (default 10
s) is displayed in the camera. To stop the
self-timer, turn off switch 31.

To ensure exposure without camera shake,
the mirror will be locked up 2 s before the
actual exposure. This at the same time is
a warning of imminent exposure. With the
aid of MasterWare, the timer delay can be
varied from 1 s to 99 s.
