How to Re-key the Lock (if needed)

IMPORTANT: Remove lever before re-keying.

Insert the key and
turn it 90° clockwise.

Re-key the lock.

Insert the key that currently operates
your lock, and turn it 90° clockwise.

Re-install the lever.
Install the lever.

Loosen the pre-
installed set screw.
To access the hidden
pre-installed set
screw on the lock,
the key must be
turned horizontal.

Insert the SmartKey tool fully and
firmly into the SmartKey hole, then
remove the SmartKey tool and
current key.
Insert the key and turn it

90° clockwise.

Turn the key 90° Remove the key.

Tighten pre-installed set

screw to secure exterior
lever.
To access the
hidden pre-
installed set screw
on the lock, the key
must be turned

Remove the lever.

Fully insert your new key
into the lock and turn it 180°
counterclockwise. Next, turn the key
90° back to the starting position,
then remove it.
Turn the key 90°

to remove it.
