US5000 Using a Bench Power Supply
⚠️ Important Safety Notes (Read Before Proceeding)
Before connecting any equipment:
✅ Only one battery should be charged at a time — isolate it from any other batteries.
❌ Do not connect short DC cables (orange and black), inverter communication cables, link cables, or
long DC cables during this process.
✅ Use a clean bench setup with only the bench power supply and the Pylontech battery.
Refer to manufacturer manual for detailed operating instructions.
Equipment Required
Bench power supply (capable of setting constant voltage of 52.5V and current control)
Charging cables with secure connectors
Pylontech US2000 / US3000 / US5000 battery
Optional: USB or WiFi diagnostic kit from
⚙️ Step-by-Step Charging Procedure
1. Set Up the Power Supply (Before Connecting the Battery)
Set output voltage to 52.5V.
Set initial current limit to 5A.
Ensure output is off (or disconnected physically) until ready.
2. Prepare the Battery
Place the battery in a safe, well-ventilated area.
Ensure the rocker switch (main power switch) on the battery is turned ON.
Do not press the red SW button — the battery will activate automatically when DC voltage is applied.
3. Connect and Begin Charging – Stage 1
Turn on the power supply output (or connect the leads).
Connect the bench power supply output to the battery DC terminals.
The battery will activate automatically and begin charging. The SOC LED's will start to flash to show its
receiving a charge.
Charge at 52.5V / 5A until current drops to 0A
