GETTING STARTED

  • Remove all packing material, any stickers, and the plastic band around the power plug.
  • Remove and save literature.
  • Please go to www.prodprotect.com/applica to register your warranty.
  • Wash all removable parts.

HOW TO USE

  1. Make sure the juicer is unplugged. Place juice container onto the base. Rotate container clockwise to lock.
  2. Place the strainer on top of the container, with the pulp control tab directly on top of the handle.
  3. If choosing the large cone, place it on top of the small cone. Place the notches of the large cone over the stirrers of the small cone and press to snap into place.
  4. Place the base stem through the cone until the cone rests on top of the strainer.
  5. Adjust the pulp control to the desired amount of pulp in your juice. Plug in citrus juicer.
  6. Push down on the cone with halved citrus fruit. This will start the juicer.

NOTES

  • The small cone is recommended for small fruits, such as lemons and large cone for larger fruits, such as grapefruits.
  • Do not operate this appliance for more than 10 minutes at a time.
  • The motor stops automatically when the pressure is completely released.
  • This juicer features auto-reverse; it automatically reverses reaming direction from time to time and when pressure is released from the juicing cone and reapplied.

CARE AND CLEANING

Note: Always unplug the citrus juicer before assembling, disassembling, and cleaning.

Separate large and small juicing cones to clean.

CLEANING

  • Wash cover, juicing cones, strainer, and juice container with warm, soapy water or in the dishwasher (top rack only).
  • Wipe the base clean with a damp cloth or sponge. Do not immerse base in water.

Note: Do not use scouring pads or abrasive cleansers to clean any parts.

FRESH LEMONADE

Prep Time: 5 min.
plus refrigeration
Servings: 8

Ingredients:
6 lemons, halved
5 cups water
2 tsp. Stevia
1 lemon, sliced for garnish
Fresh mint sprigs

Directions:
Cut 6 lemons in half. Press each half face down on the juicing cone, lifting occasionally to reverse the direction of the cone.
Mix lemon juice, water, and Stevia in a pitcher. Cover and refrigerate 30 to 60 minutes to allow flavors to blend.
Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices and fresh mint.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

  • To protect against risk of electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plug or base unit in water or other liquid.
  • Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
  • Unplug from the outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts and before cleaning. Never pull on the cord to disconnect from the outlet; instead grasp plug and pull to disconnect.
  • Avoid contact with moving parts.
  • Do not operate appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Contact Consumer Support at the toll-free number listed in the warranty section. This appliance has important markings on the plug blade. The attachment plug or entire cordset (if plug is molded onto cord) is not suitable for replacement. If damaged, the appliance must be replaced.
  • The use of accessories or attachments not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock or injury.
  • Do not use outdoors.
  • Do not let cord hang over edge of the table or counter.
  • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
  • Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

POLARIZED PLUG
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.

TAMPER-RESISTANT SCREW

This appliance is equipped with a tamper-resistant screw to prevent removal of the outer cover. To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not attempt to remove the outer cover. There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Repair should be done only by authorized service personnel.

ELECTRICAL CORD

  1. A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce the risks resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
  2. Extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in their use.
  3. If an extension cord is used:
    1. The marked electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance; and
    2. The cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the counter top or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.
