    The SICK product ID comprises the host name pid.sick.com, the part number (P/N), and the serial number (S/N), each separated by a forward slash. For many products, the SICK product ID is displayed as text and QR code on the type label and/or on the packaging.

The Ethernet variant has its own web server and can be parameterized using an Internet browser, among other things. For the Ethernet variant, the sensor can also be parameterized via OPC UA.
