Connecting the speakers

Six speakers are provided with the unit (2 front,
1 center, 2 rear, 1 subwoofer). To achieve good
surround effects, all six speakers need to be
connected to the receiver.
One speaker wire is provided with each
speaker. Speaker wires are color-coded to
match the terminals.
Connect the speaker wire from the back of
each speaker to the corresponding color
terminal at the back of the unit. Press down
the tab to open the terminal and insert the
wire (1). Release the tab to lock wire in the
terminal (2). Do the same for center speaker,
rear speakers and the subwoofer.

Positioning speakers

1
Front speakers carry primarily music and sound
1
effects.
2
In surround mode, the center speaker carries
most of the dialog as well as music and effects.
2
It should be set between the left and right
speakers.
3
The rear speakers' overall sound balance should
be as close as possible to the front speakers.
1
Proper placement is vital to establish an evenly
distributed sound field.
Subwoofer
A subwoofer is designed to reproduce powerful
low bass effects (explosions, the rumble of
spaceships, etc.) which dramatically heighten
the action on the screen.
Connections and Setup
Note: When connecting the speakers, make sure
the polarities ("+" speaker wire to "+" on the
receiver) of speaker wires and terminals match.
If the cords are reversed, the sound will be
distorted. Do not ground the output line, it will
damage the speaker.
