Some special control characters are transformed within the uProcessor Lab when either
entering or exiting the individual RS-232-C ports. The transformations may be different
for input and output, and for different ports. These transformations are used to accomodate
the particular device envisioned to reside at the port.
Before attaching a device to any of these ports, these transformations have to be
considered, and any changes necessary to accomodate a special device must be accomplished
within the external device.
