Instructions for Use
OctoStretch with Stretch Leveller
Intended Use:
OctoStretch is an accessory intended for lifting and transferring
patients in a horizontal position in cases where a flat underlying
lifting surface is not required.
It is intended for use in following environments: Health care,
Intensive care, Emergency ward, Rehabilitation, Habilitation
and Home healthcare environment.
The body support is a full sheet.
In this document, the person being lifted is referred to as the patient and the person helping is referred to as the caregiver.
IMPORTANT!
Lifting and transferring a patient always involves a certain level of risk. Read the instructions for use for both the patient
lift and lifting accessories before use. It is important to completely understand the contents of the instructions for use.
The equipment should only be used by a trained caregiver. To be trained, a caregiver needs to read and understand the
Instructions for Use. Ensure that the lifting accessories are suitable for the lift used. Exercise care and caution during use.
As a caregiver, you are always responsible for the patient's safety. You must be aware of the patient's ability to make it
through the lifting situation. If something is unclear, contact the manufacturer or supplier.

Do not store the product where it will be exposed to direct sunlight, or to heat sources such as a radiator, fireplace, or stove/oven. The OctoStretch has not been tested for use in the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) setting. Transfer the patient to a compatible surface to do an MRI, and remove the stretcher from the MRI room. -

The OctoStretch accessory can be equipped with Quick-release Hook Universal for easy mounting on the lift without tools. The lift must be equipped with a Liko Q-link connector. Some Liko lifts include this as a standard feature (Multirall overhead lift, all Likorall overhead lifts except for model 242 with mechanical emergency lowering). Other lifts can be equipped with the Q-link connector as an added option. - Page 5 Use the lift to put the OctoStretch above possible. Do this before you lift the patient the patient. Adjust the lift so that the Lifting the patient when they are off of the surface.
- Page 6 Periodic inspection should be performed by personnel authorized by Hill-Rom. Service activities are not allowed with the patient in the stretcher. Service Agreement Hill-Rom offers the opportunity to enter into service contracts for the maintenance and regular inspection of your Liko product. Expected Life Time The product has an expected life time of 10 years when correctly handled, serviced, and periodically inspected according to the instructions for use.
