DPA-10 Instant On DPA-10D 7 Second Delay The GRI DPA-10 Series Pool Alarms operate on a 9 volt battery. U.L. requires that a Duracell alkaline battery Model MN1604 be used. Both units will operate at any voltage of 5-15 volts maximum.
The GRI DPA-10 uses a microprocessor to monitor the CLOSED LOOP magnetic reed switch(es), shunt/cancel button, and battery voltage and provides the timing options. Model DPA-10 is set to alarm instantly if the protected door is opened before pressing the shunt/cancel button. Model DPA-10D is set to an initial seven second delay. In which case, the unit will wait 7 seconds upon door opening before alarming.
The alarm will beep once during power up indicating a successful diag- nostics test. Lay the battery in the bottom of the case and reassemble the DPA-10 with the button toward the bottom of the case and the sounder above. Secure with the two screws provided.
9 Volt Alkaline Duracell automatically reset upon expiration. Model MN1604 The GRI POOL ALARM operates on a 9 volt battery. It is required that Typical Battery Life Approximately 3 to 6 months a Duracell alkaline battery Model MN1604 be used.
