Selecting Surface Unit Setting
Each surface unit on your cooktop has its own power
necessary for cooking will vary depending on the
cookware being used, the type and quantity of food, and
the desired outcome.
Hot Light Indicator
A HOT indicator light on the control will:

A 30" cooktop has 2 cooking zones and a 36" cooktop
has 3 cooking zones. Each cooking zone has a
maximum power available.

is recommended that the smallest
surface unit be used to melt.
When keeping foods warm, confirm
that the selected setting is sufficient
to maintain food temperature above
140°F.
Always be sure the surface units and cooktop are cool
before you place your hand, a pot holder or cleaning
materials on them even if the hot light indicator is not on.

surface would reduce to a lower power. This is how
power is shared between two surface units in the same
zone. This change power adjustment will be shown on
the control display. Additionally, for 36" cooktops, if all
surface units are operating, the longest running 1 or 2
surface units may be reduced to a lower power level.
