MAINTENANCE Scheduled machine maintenance intended for performance by the operator is described in this section. Adhere strictly to the specified maintenance intervals, as these form the basis for good function of the sawmill. LUBRICATION POINTS Make sure the machine lift and feed chains, where fitted, are lubricated at regular intervals. Also check and lubricate the machine’s other mechanical parts.

PREPARATORY WORK FOR A RETROFIT Some disassembly may be necessary before Easy Set / Pro Set installation can begin. Lower the saw head to its bottom position. Undo the chain tensioner screw and move the tensioner away from the chain to reduce chain tension.

EASY SET INSTALLATION The following steps concern Easy Set installations. Installation involves heavy lifting that may require two people. WARNING! Heavy! Risk of injury. WARNING! Fit the key on the gearbox shaft, then slide the sprocket onto the shaft. Adjust sprocket position to align with the drivetrain’s top sprocket. WARNING! If the chain is not properly aligned, it may jump off the sprockets. The saw head will then fall with full force and may cause injury or material damage.

Fit the cable holder. The mounting differs depending on the sawmill model. Look at the top of the saw head to see if it has lifting eyes or not. If there are lifting eyes, spacer plates need to be used. Use the plates and screw holes that fit your model.

Note the specified length of the hose between the cable ties and the upper mounting point. The length of the hose is important to ensure that is does not get cumpled or become too long at it end positions. B751 PRO, 65 cm B1001, 75 cm Position the battery and route the cable as illustrated.

Raise the saw head a little to facilitate installation of the lower limit switch. This step only needs to be performed if you have a retrofit. If the machine you are installing this on has a chain tensioner, ignore this assembly step. 2 x –...

Slide the chain tensioner into the upper frame of the sawmill. Do not fully tighten the nuts until the chain is installed. If you are only going to install the Easy Set and not the Pro Set, go to page 32, step 35 and continue there.

PRO SET INSTALLATION The following steps concern the Pro Set computer setworks. Installation involves heavy lifting that may require two people. WARNING! Heavy! Risk of injury. WARNING! Plug the cable into the Pro Set unit’s connector. Route the cable in the tubular arm. Plug the Pro Set cable into the electronics box.

FIRST START-UP Calibration The saw blade height position value must be calibrated at the first start-up. The computer setworks will show a value in the display at start-up. Measure the distance between the saw blade on a downward-set tooth and a log bed.
