Usage

NOTICE
Notice to the user and/or patient: any serious incident that has occurred in relation to the device must be reported to the manufacturer and to the competent authority of the Member State where the user and/or patient is established.
This wheelchair is designed for frequent or occasional use by a single occupant weighing up to 100 kg and can be used indoors and outdoors. The wheelchair can be manually moved forwards and backwards.

  1. FOLDING AND UNFOLDING THE WHEELCHAIR
To unfold the chair, open the frame by pulling the armrests, then press down on the side tubes until you are sure that the chair is fully unfolded. Before folding the chair, completely remove the footrests or make sure they are fixed and in an upright position. To fold the wheelchair, only lift the centre edge of the seat upholstery.

  2. LOCK THE WHEELS
Push the brakes forward until they engage in the locked position. Do not attempt to sit down or stand up without first applying the brakes. Always apply both brakes simultaneously.
  3. ADJUSTING THE LENGTH OF THE FOOTREST
The position of the footrest (standard-flat or raised) can be adjusted to suit the length of the user's legs. The footrest should be adjusted to support the weight of the user's feet and lower legs in a position to support the weight of the thighs. The lower edge of the footrest must be at least 7 cm above the ground to allow sufficient clearance when going over ramps or slopes. To do this, loosen the adjusting screw with a spanner and fold the foot plates inwards or outwards to achieve the desired position. Then tighten the screw carefully.
Adjusting the length of the footrest
Make sure the brakes are applied before getting in or out of the wheelchair.

Do not stand on the footrests when getting out of the wheelchair, otherwise the wheelchair may tip over.

Keep the wheelchair away from fire.
  4. USE THE REAR SUPPORT PEDALS AND BRAKES.
Use one of the rear support pedals to raise the front wheels, for example, when you are going up a kerb. To do this, push the rear support pedals down with one foot.
  5. CLIMBING A KERB
Approach the kerb facing the kerb. The caregiver should use the rear support pedals to raise the front wheels and lower them onto the kerb once the kerb has been raised. Finally, the caregiver should push the wheelchair forward, lifting it slightly to raise the kerb if necessary.
  6. LOWERING A KERB
Position the front wheels in front of the kerb line. The caregiver should use the support pedals to raise the front wheels and tilt the occupant slightly backwards. While holding the wheels up, carefully lower the wheelchair off the kerb.
    Lowering or raising a kerb

When going down a kerb, the front wheels should be raised to prevent the occupant from falling off. These are recommendations only, they may not be suitable for all cases.

MAINTENANCE

The user or caregiver should check the safety of the wheelchair at regular intervals.

  1. Check the handgrips and anti-slip rubbers and ensure that they are solid and secure.
  2. For a correct fit, check the wheel locks and ensure that the large wheels are locked when engaged.
  3. Look at all bolts, nuts and joints to check that they remain solid.
  4. If the wheelchair is fitted with tyres, check that the tyre pressure is correct.
  5. Check that the adjusted length of the footrest is correct.
  6. Check the rear wheel axle and front fork before using the wheelchair.
  7. Check and ensure that all parts are tight and locked before using the wheelchair.

Remember to activate the wheelchair lock unless both feet are on the floor. This is especially important for users with heavy casts with elevated foot rests.

INDICATIONS

It is designed for the elderly, patients, the frail and disabled, as a mobile chair.
Weight capacity: 100 kg.

TIPS AND PRECAUTIONS

Do not drive the wheelchair downhill with the user upside down or it will cause the wheelchair to tip over and injure the user.
  • Do not drop the wheelchair by its own force of inertia onto a step, this could damage the frame or wheels.
