1. General information First read the instructions carefully. References to left and right are to be understood as if one is lying on the back in the bed. The instructions for assembly of the care bed refer to images and item numbers. For questions or comments, contact your local dealer.
Slatted bases All our slatted bases can be provided with wood or PVC slats. Type 978BH slatted base: 2-part slatted base with a hydraulic head frame and a foot frame to be operated manually. Type 989 side rails – per pair (fig. 2) Fig.2 Type 968 self hoist 2.3 Colour specifications...
3. Safety regulations The brakes on the care bed must be blocked during care of a patient. No one may be under the bed at any time. To avoid pinching of the fingers, always use the designated strap when adjusting the head- and foot ends of the slatted base. 4.

4.2 Type 666 anterior and posterior frames Slide the attachment pieces of the slatted base into the grooves of the anterior and posterior slats (fig. 4). Press on the outside of the wheel to engage the brake system on the anterior and posterior frames. Warning: Incline the frames of the bed slightly to ease attachment with the slatted base.

Fig.6 5. Operation of the care bed 5.1 Foot of type 978B H slatted base If the strap on the lower part of the foot is pulled up, the foot frame can be placed in 6 different positions. You will hear a clear click at each position. To return the foot frame to the lowest position, pull the strap completely up.
To completely lower the head frame, pull up on the handle and place downward pressure on the head frame at the same time. 5.3 Type 989 metal agitation rails To lower the agitation rail, pull out the knob and at the same time push down on the horizontal pipes at the head end.
