3. Square it Up Place a square up and against the miter bar (1), next,slide it up against the face of the miter gauge (2). Set the face of the miter gauge so that it is 90 degrees to the miter bar. 4.

5. Adjust The Plungershandle Depending on your table saw slot, you may want to adjust the spring loaded plungers on the miter bar. Simply use a hex key wrench to push the plungers outward or draw them inward until you achieve just the right fit. 7. Aluminum Miter Fence Installation handle Many modern precision miter gauges are pre-drilled at a standard height to accept miter fences. Simply align the bolts with the holes, and secure the fence to the gauge using the supplied bolts, washers and t-knobs as shown above.
