    Introduction EPD-053 is an ePaper device using ultra low power 2.4GHz RF wireless protocol integrated with 5.65" EPD and ARM Cortex-M3 processor. The device can be used in hospitals, pharmacies, factory, warehouse, and retail applications. With optimization on power consumption and device management, your applications will benefit from years of battery life.

     The WISE-3610Z built-in router can extend the wireless range of the Gateway.  EPD-053 device is a device with ePaper, EPD controller and wireless connectiv- ity. Advantech provides a total solution for development of different architectures accord- ing to the end customer's system requirements.
  • Page 14 From the below diagram you can see EPD-053 is the end node of the system. Devel- opers can use Advantech’s WISE-3610Z /3240 to connect to ePaper manager which is installed on ARK2250L. Multi-function RESTful APIs are available on ePaper Man- ager for developers to integrate with their vertical market applications in retail, smart warehouse, factory, hospitals, and transportation.

    Secure Key Mechanism: Advantech EPD-053 offers the user to change the secure key when data exchanges between devices. The user can setup a new secure key from ePaper manager and the gateway will start to pass the new key to the connected device. As long as the key has been changed, the device can not operate on the original system which has the old secure key in its settings.

    Warranty Period Advantech branded off-the-shelf products and 3rd party off-the-shelf products used to assemble Advantech Configure to Order products are entitled to a complete 2 year global warranty service. Product defects in design, materials, and workmanship, are covered from the date of shipment.

    The DOA Cross-Shipment excludes any shipping damage, customized and/or build-to-order products. For those products which are not DOA, the return fee to an authorized Advantech repair facility will be at the customers' expense. The shipping fee for reconstructive products from Advantech back to customers' sites will be at Advantech's expense.
  • Page 115 "Attn. RMA Service Department". All products must be returned in properly packed ESD material or anti-static bags. Advantech reserves the right to return unrepaired items at the customer's cost if inap- propriately packed. Besides that, "Door-to-Door" transportation such as speed post is recommended for delivery, otherwise, the sender should bear additional charges such as clearance fees if Air-Cargo is used.
