Possible cause:

The drop switch is registered
with the motorcycle's electronics,
but it is not currently installed.
Install the drop switch.
Possible cause:
A defect in the drop switch has
been detected.
Seek the advice of a specialist
workshop, preferably an author-
ised BMW Motorrad dealer.
