Convenient lap timing
An infrared signal provides a con-
venient way of operating the in-
strument panel in RACE mode.
The instrument panel can be op-
erated in this way only when the
infrared receiver available as an
optional accessory is connected.
The SET button can still be used
to operate the instrument panel
even when the infrared receiver
is installed.
A lap timeout can be defined to
stop the receiver from register-
ing completion of a lap prema-
turely in response to spurious
signals. Signals received before
this time elapses are ignored.
The lap timeout does not ap-
ply to operation by means of the
SET button.
Setting the lap timeout
Select SETUP mode.
You can make this adjust-
ment only when the motor-

cycle is at a standstill.
