    3-6 Capstan Motor Capstan motor is Unipolar stepping motor and driven by driver SLA7062. SLA7062, it is designed to drive both windings of a Unipolar stepping motor and includes pulse-width-modulation (PWM) control of output current to 2.4A. For PWM control, the maximum output current is determined by user’s selection of a reference voltage and sensing resister.

    3-7 Cam/ Ribbon/ADF Motor Cam/ Ribbon/ADF Motor is DC motor and driven by driver A3950. A3950 is Designed for PWM (pulse width modulated) control of DC motors, the A3950 is capable of peak output currents to ±2.8 A and operating voltages to 36 V. PHASE and ENABLE input terminals are provided for use in controlling the speed and direction of a DC motor with externally applied PWM control signals.
  • Page 11 Cam Pinch Motor: This motor controls the pinch roller to grab the paper to the printing position by using the cam gears on each side of the clutch. This motor also moves the Exit Roll which holds the paper when the cutter to cuts the paper after print.
  • Page 12 Ribbon Motors: There are 2 ribbon motors, their main function is to wind and rewind the ribbon to its printing positions.
