    This Maintenance Manual tells you how to replace the charging cables on the EVBoxBusinessLine charging station. You must carefully read the safety information before you start. This Maintenance Manual is applicable only to BusinessLine G2 and G3 models. Only a qualified electrician is permitted to do the maintenance procedures described in this manual.

Safety precautions DANGER: Servicing and repair of the charging station by a non-qualified person will result in the risk of electric shock, which will cause severe injury or death. • Only a qualified electrician is permitted to install, service, repair and relocate the charging station.

    4. For a double charging station remove the second cover in the same way. 3.3. Replace the charging cable Note: The following procedure shows a 3-phase BusinessLine model. Although quantities and connection points may be different in other BusinessLine models, the procedure order and techniques will be the same for all models.
  • Page 10 3. Replacement instructions 1. Inside the charging station, identify the wires of the charging cable and their connection points. Note: Write down the wire colors and the terminal numbers to which the wires connect. 2. Using a screwdriver, push in the indicator on the PE/G terminal block to release the PE/G wire.
  • Page 11 3. Replacement instructions 4. Loosen the screws on the contactor to release the power wires. 5. Fully loosen the cable gland nut and slide it down the charging cable. 6. Gently pull the charging cable through the cable gland.
  • Page 12 3. Replacement instructions 7. Remove the cable gland nut from the charging cable. 8. Slide the cable gland nut over the new charging cable. 9. Insert the charging cable through the cable gland into the charging station. Note: Make sure that the cable is inserted far enough to easily connect the wires.
  • Page 13 3. Replacement instructions 10. Tighten the cable gland to secure the charging cable. 11. Insert the power wires into the contactor terminals and tighten the terminal screws. 12. Push the control pilot wire into its terminal block. Pull on the wire to make sure it is correctly connected. The indicator on the terminal block must be in the locked position.

    1. Remove the warning signs from the power supply. 2. Switch on electrical power to the charging station. 3. Test the charging station using the EVBox Test Box or by charging a vehicle as described in the applicable charging station User Manual.
