QUICK OPERATION

OPERATING THE CAMERA WITH THE COMPUTER

Launch the application software (see page 18).
The Dimâge V Main Panel will appear.
In the Dimage V Main Panel:
• Control the Dimâge V functions (recording, flash mode, image
quality mode, self-timer) with the computer.
• Format SmartMedia™.
• Display the data from the camera's information bar (frames
remaining/frames taken, low battery warning).

Select Record Mode from the Minolta Dimage V menu.
Set the flash mode and select the image
quality, then click on Capture.
Open the viewer panel and double-click on
the thumbnail of the captured image.

The full-size image will be displayed in the image panel.
In the Image Panel:
• Edit images (crop, adjust brightness/contrast, adjust color
balance, flip, rotate, sharpen edges, and soften edges).
• Enlarge or reduce the view of images.
• Print images.

Select Save as... from the File pull-down menu.
Enter the new file name.
Select the folder where the file is to be saved.
Select the file format.
Click on Save.
The image will be saved in the selected format.
Once the image is saved:
• Display the preview of saved image in the Viewer Panel.
• Acquire the saved image into another application.
• Incorporate the saved image into an original post card or
calendar using Adobe PhotoDeluxe™, included in this package.
