They must be taken to suitable collection points.
2. Batteries and rechargeable batteries that can be removed from the e-cigarette without
destroying them must be disposed of separately at a suitable collection point.
3. When disposing of e-cigarettes, batteries and rechargeable batteries,
care must be taken to minimize fire risks as much as possible
(e.g. by masking the poles).
4. Before disposing of e-cigarettes, any personally identifiable information that may be
stored on the device should be erased.
5. Suitable collection points for e-cigarettes:
- Distributors of electrical and electronic equipment with a sales area of at least 400 qm
and distributors of foodstuffs with a total sales area of at least 800 qm who offer electrical
and electronic equipment several times a calendar year or permanently are obliged to
repossess up to three old devices free of charge and regardless of the purchase of a new
device in the retail store or in the immediate vicinity, provided that the old devices are
smaller than 25 cm.
- Collection points of the public waste disposal authorities.
- E-cigarettes, batteries and rechargeable batteries can be handed in free of charge in all
PIPELINE STORES.
