Product and the display illuminates after 3 seconds and indicates the actual Product temperature. After a brief self-test, the Product begins normal operation. If the Product fails to operate, check the power connection, or contact Fluke Calibration. See Contact Fluke Calibration.
9133 Operators Manual Back Panel The back panel is described below and shown in Figure 2. Figure 2. Back Panel RS-232 Power Inlet - Detachable mains power cord inlet, also known as a power entry module. Power Switch - The power switch is on the power entry module (PEM). The PEM also houses the fuse.
Infrared Thermometer Calibrator Parts and Controls Front Panel The front panel is described below and shown in Figure 3. Figure 3. Front Panel Display - The digital display shows set and actual temperatures and various Product functions, settings, and constants. The display shows temperatures in units according to the selected scale °C or °F.
9133 Operators Manual General Operation Change Display Units The Product displays temperature in Celsius or Fahrenheit. The temperature default units are set to Celsius. There are two ways to change to Fahrenheit or back to Celsius: 1. Push SET and UP simultaneously. The units change.
Infrared Thermometer Calibrator Control Panel Operation To set the temperature, select one of the eight set-points in memory and then adjust the set- point value. Programmable Set-points The Product stores eight set-point temperatures in memory. The set-points can be quickly recalled to set the Product to a previously-programmed temperature set-point.

Infrared Thermometer Calibrator Control Panel Operation Set-Point Value Adjust the set-point value after you select the set-point memory and push SET. The set-point value is displayed with the units, C or F, at the right. Set-point value 4, 120 °C 4 120 If the set-point value does not need to be changed, push EXIT to resume displaying the Product temperature.
9133 Operators Manual The scan rate function appears in the main menu after the scan control function. The scan rate units are in degrees Celsius per minute. Scan rate in C/min Sr=10. 0 Push UP or DOWN to change the scan rate.
The optimum proportional band width is set at the factory to about 25.0 °C. You may alter the proportional band width to optimize the control characteristics for a particular application. However, Fluke Calibration recommends that the proportional band be changed only by knowledgeable personnel.
9133 Operators Manual Product Configuration The Product has a number of configuration, operation, and calibration parameters that are programmable with the control panel. These are accessed from the secondary menu after the proportional band by pushing SET. There are three sets of configuration parameters: operating parameters ...
Infrared Thermometer Calibrator Control Panel Operation Baud Rate The baud rate is the first parameter in the menu. The baud rate setting determines the serial communications transmission rate. The baud rate of the serial communications may be programmed to 300, 600, 1200, 2400, 4800, or 9600. The default setting is 2400 baud. Flashes and then displays the setting bAUd Current baud rate...
9133 Operators Manual Linefeed The final parameter in the serial interface menu is the linefeed mode. This parameter enables (On) or disables (OFF) transmission of a linefeed character (LF, ASCII 10) after transmission of any carriage return. Flashes and then displays the setting...
Infrared Thermometer Calibrator Digital Communication Interface BETA This probe parameter characterizes the low temperatures. This parameter value is set at the factory for best Product accuracy. Digital Communication Interface The Product can communicate with and be controlled by other equipment through the digital interface.
9133 Operators Manual Setup Before operation, the serial interface of the Product must be set up by programming the baud rate and other configuration parameters. These parameters are programmed within the serial interface menu. The serial interface parameters menu is outlined in Serial Interface Parameters.
Infrared Thermometer Calibrator Digital Communication Interface Interface Commands The various commands that access the Product controller functions with the digital interfaces are listed in Table 1. These commands are used with both the RS-232 serial interface and the IEEE-488 GPIB interface. In either case the commands are terminated with a carriage-return character.
