12/24V 20A Solar Charge Controller With USB
Overview
Featuring intelligent charge control, adjustable parameters, LCD screen and USB charging outputs this solar regulator. It
is suitable for permanent installations of lead acid and gel battery solar panel systems. The LCD allows simple selection of
charging parameters such as PV switch off voltage, load switch on voltage, low voltage disconnect and night mode run
time. Suitable for 12V or 24V systems, the charger automatically detects the connected battery voltage.
Features
• Visual LCD graphic symbol
• Brief key operation
• Automatic identification system voltage level 12/24V d.c.
• Intelligent PWM charge mode
• Adjustable charge-discharge control parameters
• Settable operating modes of loads
• Battery over temperature protection
• Battery low voltage protection
• Battery reverses polarity protection
• Overload & short circuit protection
• With Dual USB 5V output
IMPORTANT CONNECTION INFORMATION
1. Connect the battery first and then the solar panel. This sequence is essential to follow.
2. Tighten the terminal. Otherwise it may spark, or even cause a fire.
3. Fuses are recommended for electrical sockets to safeguard the battery and load terminals.
4. A 12V battery is recommended with 18V solar panels. A 24V battery is recommended with 36V solar panels.
5. For a 12V battery, the actual voltage will lie between 10V to 15V, depending on the ambient temperature. Energy
storage capacity is directly proportional to battery voltage. At higher temperature, the voltage of the battery may be
higher.
6. Recommended charging current is less than 20% of the rated capacity. E.G. 100AH battery would require a charging
current at or below 20A.
7. When the charge/discharge current is <1A, the controller may not display charging current. But the controller is still at
work.
