ADJUSTING THE VOLUME
Turn the VOUMULTI
JOG dial on the control
panel,
or
press
the VOLUME
buttons
on the remote
control.
The volume
level is shown on the display for 4 seconds.
It can
be set from MIN (minimum)
to 49, and then MAX (maximum).
The volume
is memorized
even after the power
is turned
off.
However,
if the power is turned
off when the volume
is set to
more than 25, it is automatically
set to 25 the next time the power
is turned on.
ENHANCING THE TREBLE SOUND
The BBE system
enhances
the clarity of high-frequency
sound.
Press the SOUND MODE button
repeatedly
until "BBE" appears
on the display. Then, turn the VOL/MULTl
JOG dial right or left
to select
one of the three
levels,
or the off position
within
4
seconds.

The T-BASS
system
enhances
the realism
of low-frequency
sound.
Press
the SOUND
MODE
button
repeatedly
until "T-BASS"
appears
on the display.
Then, turn
the VOUMULTI
JOG dial
right or left to select one of the three levels, or the off position
within 4 seconds.

Low frequency
sound may be distorted when the T-BASS system
is used for a disc in which
low frequency
sound
is originally
emphasized.
In this case, cancel the T-BASS
system.
EQ (EQUALIZER)
This unit provides
the following
three different
kinds.
ROCK:
Powerful
sound emphasizing
treble and bass
POP: More presence
in the vocals and midrange
JAZZ: Accented
lower frequencies
for jazz-type
music
Press
the SOUND
MODE
button
repeatedly
until "EQ OFF"
appears
on the display.
Then, turn
the VOL/MULTl
JOG dial
right or left to select one of the three, or the off position within 4
seconds.
When using the remote control, press the GEQ button repeatedly.
SOUND ADJUSTMENT
DURING
RECORDING
The output
volume
and tone of the speakers
or headphones
may be freely varied without affecting
the level of the recording,
