  • Page 2 • Sarcopenia: InBody provides a quick, easy to perform test that provides a calculation for skeletal muscle index (SMI), the sum of the lean mass in the arms and legs, normalized for height. This marker is useful in identifying low muscle in the appendages, which increases frailty risk.

  • Page 6 I. InBody Installation A. Product Components InBody970 consists of the following components. Make sure all of the following components are present. * Please check each component of the system for damage prior to installation. InBody970 ❶ Power adapter ❷ Input button Power cable ❸...
  • Page 7 B. Installation Environment Check the environment before installing the InBody970. This equipment is suitable for indoor use. If installing this equipment outdoors, the following requirements must be fulfilled. Temperature range 10 ~ 40°C (50 ~ 104°F) Relative humidity 30 ~ 75% RH Atmospheric pressure 70 ~ 106kPa C.   • Page 8 • Do not clean the foot electrode and the hand electrode with detergent. If liquid cleaner flows into InBody970, it may cause corrosion and equipment failure. For cleaning the Inbody970, use an InBody tissue (wet tissue) with antibacterial effect 2. Raise the InBody970 upper section to the end and then remove the protective packaging vinyl.

  • Page 16 • Avoid laying cables connected to external devices in frequently traveled passages because individuals may trip over cables and become injured. • Do not connect external devices that are not specified from InBody to the InBody970. Otherwise, it may cause failure and malfunction.
  • Page 17 5) LookinBody By connecting LookinBody to InBody970, you can use the measurement data management function. * If LookinBody is not recognized, please contact InBody Customer Service. Turn off InBody970. ❶ * When InBody970 is already turned on, it may be not properly connected to LookinBody.
  • Page 18 7) The external device's Bluetooth ID consists of “Product Name-Serial Number”, and select the Bluetooth ID of the device to be paired and press the Connect button. * If the Bluetooth ID does not appear or the connection is not good, please contact InBody Customer Service.

  • Page 27 C. Test Posture For a proper test result, use a proper posture during the test. The armpits should not reach the torso. Keep the arms straight. If the thighs are touching each other, wear knee-short shorts to prevent the thighs from touching.

Repacking Instructions Do not transport the InBody970 as much as possible once the it has been installed. If you need to transport the InBody970, transport after repackaging it in the following order.
