  • Page 14 8 Functions 8.1 Hot water charging Hot water charging takes place when: - a demand for heat is given - the hot water charge is not blocked by the timer program a demand for heat is given when the mean Boiler temperature T1 is 5K less than the hot water desired value.

Should the air intake be from year-round heated rooms (e.g. bathing cubicle etc.), the fan speed can be reduced during heat pump operation.   • Page 19 8.9 E-heating element An electrical heating system can be configured for increased water requirements or also for a rapid heat up. The installation of the E-heater in the water tank must be carried out by an installer. Up to a rating of 2.5 kW, the electrical connection can take place directly in the terminal box.
  • Page 20 8.11 Smart Grid and Utilities The Europa Mini IWP offers the opportunity to switch off the heat pump via two external floating contacts (Utility) or to control it to a higher desired value (Smart grid). Observe the compressor’s minimum stand- still time.
