To avoid accidents and damage, observe and follow these instructions. These terms and symbols are explained below.
  • Page 7 Safety DANGER Danger due to electric shock Penetration of liquid into the unit can cause electric shocks and short circuits. – Opening the electronics box is prohibited. – Protect the unit from splashing water. – Switch off the unit and disconnect the mains plug before cleaning and maintenance work.

  • Page 11 Design and Description Description of Function The shaking device enables controlled shaking of beakers or test tubes in a Memmert waterbath. The shaking device performs a backwards and forwards movement at a frequency of approx. 30 to 150  strokes per minute. The shaking frequency is controlled electronically and can be adjusted via the touch screen.

This means the overpressure vapour barrier is active and prevents condensate from entering the shaking device housing.

All parts of the affected unit must be decontaminated both before sending to our service department and before disposing of the unit.
