PLACING A CALL

While wearing the headset take the telephone handset off-hook.
If you do not hear a dial tone, press the Headset/Handset Selector Button (7). Indicator lights will
automatically display. If indicator lights are displayed and you still do not hear a dial tone, you
may need to adjust the Configuration Dial (12) (see explanation on page 7).
Dial a co-worker to test connections and loudness settings.

MODE CONTROL

To move between Listen, Speak and Tone modes, simply press the Mode Selector (4) until you are
in the desired mode. The LED on the display provides a visual indication of which mode is active
(see diagram B, page 1).
The default mode is Listen, so if the mode selector is not used for 10 seconds the unit will return
to the default or Listen mode.
LISTEN VOLUME – HOW OTHERS SOUND TO YOU
If the Listen Volume (8) is too loud or too low, press the Mode Selector (4) to highlight Listen
Volume Indicator (8) (see diagram B, page 1) and then adjust Volume Rocker Switch (3) up or
down to increase or decrease volume (see diagram C, page 1).
SPEAK VOLUME – HOW YOU SOUND TO OTHERS
If the Speak Volume (9) is too loud or too low, press the Mode Selector (4) (see diagram B, page 1)
to highlight Speak Volume Indicator (9) and then adjust Volume Rocker Switch (3) up or down to
increase or decrease volume (see diagram C, page 1).
TONE LEVEL
Select Tone by pressing the Mode Selector (4) (see diagram B, page 1).
This increases treble or increases bass to the user's ear.
Select a level (bass or treble) that is comfortable for you by adjusting the Volume Rocker Switch (3)
(see diagram C, page 1).
