The A20 is an amplifier which allows a suitable Plantronics headset to be used with a
wide range of home or office telephones.

CABLING CONNECTIONS

Arrange components as shown in diagram
Remove the Handset Cable from the telephone and plug it into the Handset Cable Port (16).
Connect one end of the Base Unit Cable (11) to the Base Unit Cable Port (20).
Connect the AC Power Supply (14) to the AC Adapter Port (18) and to a wall outlet.
Connect the OLI (15) to the Accessory Port (19).

COMPONENT ASSEMBLY

The Amplifier (21) and the Accessory Deck (13) are connected by expanding the deck fully
(gently ease the right hand side of the deck out from the left hand side), and clipping the
amplifier into the two exposed slots that appear at the front of the Accessory Deck.
(See diagram D, page 1).
With the Accessory Deck Cover (23) removed, organise all related cables by pressing the cables
into the moulded slots. The power Supply Cable and OLI Cable run towards the rear of the deck.
The Base Unit Cable runs towards the left of the Deck. (See diagram G, page 1).
Replace the Accessory Deck Cover (23) and place the telephone on the Accessory Deck (13).
(See diagram A, page 1).
Connect the other end of the Base Unit Cable (11) to your telephone's Handset Port.
Push the Headset Stand (17) into the Headset Stand Location (22) that is most convenient for
you to use.
Connect your headset to the Headset Port (1) using the Headset Cable (2) supplied.
ON LINE INDICATOR ASSEMBLY
The A20 package includes an On Line Indicator (OLI) (15) to visually notify co-workers when you
are talking on the telephone, using a headset. The indicator does not flash when you are using
the telephone handset.
Select a position where the OLI is visible – on your desk, on top of a computer monitor, or
mounted on the wall. The OLI may also be snapped onto the vertical struts of the Headset Stand
